An Amish One Day Open Tournament is planned for Saturday, October 31st, 2009.  A group of Amish men from northern Indiana (Marvin Yoder, Ray Yoder, Ken Miller, Pete Schmucker, Lonnie Lambright and Eli Raber, etc.) will be traveling to Milroy, Indiana for a day of checkers at the home of John E. Schmidt, 1336 W. County Rd., 1000 S., Milroy, IN 46156.   Mr. Schmidt's phone number is  (765) 629-2375, call for more details.  These fellows are skilled players so reviewing MT Hope and Indiana State results might reveal their checkers seriousness.
